Future Formats delivers whitepapers and research studies discreetly to our customers and members.

Future Formats specialty is in the production of accurate, timely and insightful analysis of optical, SD and hard disc based media. Additionally we provide analysis of the semiconductor markets and government and university based research activities. These reports are for the use of our commissioning customers only and are produced solely on the basis of the needs and directives of those customers.

We do on occasion make white papers available to the public.

Current available white papers may be purchased on the following topics:

• EVD Flash Report
This report explores both the rationale and the purpose behind the development of the EVD standard. This report looks at likely adopters of the standard, those organizations that are engaged in the production of EVD compliant hardware, and the relationship of this standard to media content holders.

• HD-DVD Update
HD-DVD is a rapidly approaching standard that has tremendous potential to change the way current US and European consumers view media. This report also explores different codices and their relationship to this standard.
