Copernio computer security personnel monitor this web site for security purposes to ensure it remains available to all users and to protect information in the system. By accessing this web site, you are expressly consenting to these monitoring activities.

Unauthorized attempts to defeat or circumvent security features, to use the system for other than intended purposes, to deny service to authorized users, to access, obtain, alter, damage, or destroy information, or otherwise to interfere with the system or its operation are prohibited. Copernio will prosecute any attempts at the unlawful attempt to access, download, obtain while in transit, or otherwise intercept data from this or any other Copernio owned website.

The public is authorized to read all pages that are not protected by password or other access controls, whether or not those pages were intended for the general public's interests.

PRIVACY NOTICE
We collect no information about you when you visit this site except whatever you choose to send, for example through web-based forms or email, and some portion of whatever your web browser automatically sends to web sites you visit.

Copernio states that:

The information we do automatically collect and store includes the following:

  • The Internet Protocol (IP) address from which you access the Internet (e.g., 255.255.255.255), whether your own, company or government issued network, or provided as a proxy by your Internet Service Provider (ISP),
  • The date and time you access our site,
  • The length (duration) of your visit,
  • The number of times you have accessed the site in the past,
  • The ISP or network from which the request originates,
  • The pages you visit (recorded by the text and other files that compose that page),
  • The URL of the web page (if any) from which you linked directly to our site,
  • Search terms used to find the site,
  • Router ID and trace routes involved in your connection to the site,
  • All pages, file names, countries, referrers, search terms, search engines, exit links, entry pages, browsers types and versions, monitor resolutions, operating systems
  • The total number of packets and bytes you exchange with our site, categorized by protocol header information.

If your web browser includes additional unsolicited information with its requests, some of that may be logged by our servers, even if we have no use for it.

In the case of website “snaking” or “sucking” applications, we monitor, record and store indefinitely all activity related to said activities. In such cases we may add additional monitoring services if we have a reasonable belief that said activities may be criminal in nature, or an attempt to circumvent copyright, intellectual property or trademark laws.

We use summary statistics of the above information to help us make our site more useful to visitors, such as by assessing what information is of most and least interest to visitors, and for other purposes such as determining the site's technical design specifications and identifying system performance or problem areas.
This information is not shared with anyone for any commercial purpose whatsoever. It is used as a source of anonymous statistical information and to diagnose network problems and intrusion attempts.

Email you send us may be forwarded as needed in order to make the best possible response. Also, you should be aware that email to some destination addresses may be archived, possibly in a way visible to the public. Unless you have reliable information to the contrary, you should never assume that email you send is confidential or ephemeral.

Copernio Policy Regarding the Use of Personal Computer Software
Copernio licenses the use of copies of computer software from a variety of outside companies. Copernio does not own the copyright to this software or its related documentation and, except for a single copy for backup purposes or unless expressly authorized by the copyright owner(s), does not have the right to reproduce it for use on more than one computer.

With regard to software usage on local area networks, Copernio uses the software only in accordance with the license agreement.

Copernio employees are not permitted to install their own copies of any software onto Copernio machines. Copernio employees are not permitted to copy software from Copernio's computers and install it on home or any other computers [unless authorized by Copernio's Certified Software Manager consistent with the terms of the software license agreement].

Copernio employees learning of any misuse of software or related documentation within the company shall notify the Manager of Computer Systems Certified Software Manger or other appropriate person. According to the U.S. copyright law, unauthorized reproduction of software is a federal offense. Offenders can be subject to civil damages of as much as $150,000 per title copied, and criminal penalties, including fines (up to $250,000 per work copied) and imprisonment (up to 5 years per title copied).

Any Copernio employee, or vendor, who knowingly makes, acquires, or uses unauthorized copies of computer software licensed to Copernio or who places or uses unauthorized software on Copernio premises or equipment shall be subject to immediate termination of employment and/or contract, and reporting to appropriate enforcement bodies. Copernio does not condone and specifically forbids the unauthorized duplication of software.

Using the Copernio® mark, Future Formats™ and other Copernio intellectual property such as logos, slogans, trade dress, and graphic symbols on packaging, products, or services requires express written permission from Copernio. Use of confusingly similar or disparaging terms is a violation of Copernio’s intellectual property rights.
